How we handle what you tell us

Information we collect

What we collect depends on your relationship with The Seventh House Society:

• Prospective members who request consideration through our site provide a name and email address. No further information is collected at this stage.
• Active clients are asked for additional information only after an initial conversation — typically by phone or video call rather than a written form, since the nature of that information benefits from discussion rather than a checklist.
• Candidates in our network — individuals we may introduce to clients — complete a more detailed application, as their information forms the basis of potential introductions.
• Members with dashboard access may have additional information visible to them, including details of potential matches and correspondence with our team.

How we use it

Information collected is used solely to operate The Seventh House Society: evaluating prospective members and candidates, coordinating introductions, scheduling, and communicating with our clients about their engagement.

We do not sell member or candidate information to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising purposes outside of our own correspondence with you.

Third-party services

Like most small private practices, we rely on a limited number of third-party services to operate — for example, tools that help us store candidate records, schedule calls, or process payment for engagements. These providers are only given the information necessary to perform their function, and are expected to maintain reasonable confidentiality and security standards of their own.

We do not currently use these services for marketing or advertising purposes. As our use of third-party tools evolves, this policy will be updated to reflect any material change in how your information is handled.

Member discretion

Discretion is central to how The Seventh House Society operates, and it works in both directions:

• Before any introduction is made, you will always know who you're being introduced to — name, photo, and relevant background. Discretion does not mean anonymity between members.
• What it does mean: members agree, as a condition of engagement, not to disclose another member's identity, likeness, or personal details to anyone outside the introduction itself.
• We do not publicly disclose member participation, share member names, or post about introductions. Information is shared only as needed to evaluate, coordinate, and facilitate introductions between the people directly involved.
• These obligations are set out in full in a separate confidentiality agreement provided at the time of engagement.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share with us, including limiting access to client and candidate records to those directly involved in your engagement. No method of storing or transmitting information online is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we treat the information entrusted to us with the seriousness it deserves.

Your rights

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to any records we may need to retain for legitimate business, legal, security, or compliance purposes.

Terms of engagement

Engagement with The Seventh House Society is by mutual agreement and is not a guarantee of any particular outcome. Specifically:

• We do not promise a specific number of introductions, matches, or any romantic outcome. We commit to a defined period of dedicated search, vetting, and personal attention.
• Fees are not refundable once an engagement begins. The fee reflects the time, search, and attention committed to your engagement, not a guaranteed result — the same reason we don't promise a specific number of introductions.
• Fees for active engagements are agreed upon before work begins and are outlined in your individual engagement agreement.
• Either party may end an engagement at any time. Ending an engagement does not entitle either party to a refund of fees already paid.
• Full terms specific to your engagement will be provided and agreed to separately before any fee is collected.
